Rev. Dr. Raymond Boeche, Th.D. in Theology and today is Pastor for Adult Education at a large metropolitan Protestant church in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Rev. Dr. Raymond Boeche holds a Bachelor’s degree in studio art and education from Peru State College, a ThM degree in systematic theology and apologetics from St. Mark’s School of Divinity, and a ThD in systematic theology from St. Paul Theological College.
Dr. Boeche has been involved in researching paranormal phenomena for nearly 50 years. He served for a number of years as the Nebraska State Director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), on the Board of Directors of Citizens Against UFO Secrecy, worked with NICAP and APRO, and in 1982, founded and directed the Fortean Research Center. He was selected to organize, coordinate, and address two international symposiums on unexplained phenomena for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and has spoken extensively.
Beginning early in April to the end of December 1985, while representing the Fortean Research Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, Ray corresponded with Nebraska’s U. S. Senator Jim Exon on the Armed Services Committee. The evolution of the Senator’s and his staff’s replies to Ray over those months implies that “someone shut down” Senator Exon’s genuine interest in the RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge phenomena. The Senator’s Administrative Assistant gave Ray very valuable insights and the log of Ray’s correspondence with everyone in 1985 that Ray sent me is a slice of historic revelation about behind-the-matrix manipulation of American representatives.
In addition to Ray Boeche’s efforts to get to the bottom of all the secrecy behind RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge mystery, Ray has been involved in extensive research in the fields of anomalous aerial phenomena, cryptozoology, parapsychology, animal mutilations, and cultic and occult religions. He was fortunate to have had the opportunity early on, to work with and be mentored by such fellow investigators as Dr. James McDonald, Ivan Sanderson, Dr. Roy Mackal, John Keel, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Budd Hopkins, and Dr. Berthold Schwarz, among others.
During a nearly 30-year career as a graphic artist and book designer, Dr. Boeche founded and directed Reasonable Defense, an apologetic outreach to the academic community and those involved in the paranormal, from 1988 until 1994. In 1995, Dr. Boeche was asked to enter the pastoral ministry as rector of Celebration Anglican Church in Lincoln Nebraska, where he served for ten years. After his retirement as an artist and book designer for the University of Nebraska Press, Dr. Boeche entered full-time ministry as a pastor for adult education at a large church in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he still teaches, counsels, and serves.
Dr. Boeche has published several books, including “An Anthology of the Unexplained”, “The Complete Annals of the Journal of the Fortean Research Center”, and “Bloodless Cuts: The Complete Collected Works of Thomas R. Adams” with a Foreword by Linda Moulton Howe, Reporter and Editor, Earthfiles.com.
